Not only are Polywood® shutters a completely recyclable shutter, but they are also made of up to 20% recycled Polywood content. We’re the only shutter company in San Jose or even America that does that.
Sunburst supports green design, products, and buildings. We show our commitment by reusing our materials whenever we can. We recycle water that cools down components as they’re coming out of ovens. We reuse packaging supplies. We reuse shutter fragments – or regrind them and turn them into new shutters. Each year we recycle hundreds of tons of materials.
When we prepare our window treatments to be transported to your residence for installation, we insert reusable corner pieces on the sides of the louvers and use minimal cardboard to package the shutters.
The patented paint finishes we adhere to your plantation shutters are environmentally safe – and are even lower than the normal volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions allowed. In our manufacturing method, our paints don’t emit fumes. When we say our paints are safe, we mean it.
Polywood Shutters do not give off dangerous gasses – so you and your household can breathe easily and savor your window treatments.
The Only Shutter Recycling Program in San Jose, CA
If you ever want to switch out your window treatment styles, we have a shutter recycling program in San Jose to keep Polywood shutters out of landfills.
